The CFC Handmaids of the Lord (CFC HOLD) is a family ministry of Couples for Christ for women who are:
- single mothers
- widows
- married women whose husbands are working another province/country, are not willing nor in participate in any religious affiliation
- separated/ divorced women
- single mature women
- women prison
Vision
Women “the Holy Spirit, joyfully proclaiming the greatness and glory of God as Mary did, by living out her fiat: “I am the Handmaid of the Lord, may be done to me according to your word: in selfless and discipleship
Mission
The Handmaid of the Lord is a creation of God distinctly called to the mission of;
- Personal transformation
- Evangelization to bring her family and others, especially women, to a renewed life in the Lord and
- Wholehearted service to bring glad tidings to the poor
Programs :
- Global Evangelization
- Through Christian Ute Programs which are world which are conducted regularly and continuously all over the Philippines and in many countries of the
- Together with CFC, CFC HOLD brings Jesus Christ to people in the different countries of Asia. Africa, Oceania, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America and the Caribbean.”
Pastoral Formation:
This helps build the Church of the Home through Christian foundation teachings, retreats and conferences that nurture and deepen the Catholic faith:
- Household prayer meetings and assemblies,
- Handmaids Enrichment Retreats (HER) Retreat,
- Special Retreats/ Teachings, Solo Parenting, Widows Retreat, Diamond Retreat, HOLD Migrants Retreat, Tribute to Mothers. etc.)
- CFC HOLD International Conference – a 3-day conference that is attended annually by Handmaids from all over the world and which is replicated in the different regions of the Philippines and in other countries,
- CFC HOLD Marian Conference, a half-day conference which is held annually in the different regions of the Philippines and other countries.
